PEGGY DOYLE

Hi, My name is Peggy Doyle. I live in Leamington, Ontario, Canada. I have an Associates Degree in Political Science with a minor in history.

Now for the personal info..I am 50 years old, 5'5", brown hair and blue eyes. I am married to a great guy that I met on the Net and we have 4 kids, Jason, Joshua, Patrick, and Bonnie. We also have 3 grandsons Gavin, Evan, and Liam, and 4 granddaughters, Taylor, Samantha, Kiara and Kimberlee.

I was born in a little town in Illinois but moved to Wisconsin at a young age. When I was 24 I moved with my parents to Las Vegas. I lived in Vegas for a total of 10 years. I also lived in Montana for 3 years. So as you can tell moving and new places are not new to me. But I still want to stay in one place for awhile, put down roots and just enjoy life.

I have worked at various jobs, at a kennel, as a file clerk, as a retail clerk, at a campground, on an assembly line. I really like to work with computers and I dearly love to make webpages. I took 2 courses in college in Computer Science and just fell right into it. I handcode the HTML on all my pages, without using a HTML editor. I find that this allows me to feel more hands-on with my work. Of course it is very much more time consuming, but hey at the moment I've got the time..

My husband and I met in a chat room September 96 and started to talk..Neither of us were looking for a relationship at the time (but it seems that is when you find them). We started off chatting a few times a week when I was in between classes and he got home from work..Got so I looked forward to him showing up and a month after we met he phoned me..Just a short call cause I lived in Vegas and he in Ontario, but still it was enough to peak my interest more..I planned to visit him in November for a long weekend.. met the whole family then as it was time for his family reunion.. Well, he met me at the airport with 3 dozen roses and I haven't looked back since.. I had planned to visit again in March 97..But as we got further into our relationship we decided to get married and the place it was easiest was *surprise* Las Vegas..So instead of waiting till March or later we tied the knot February 19, 1997..I still had a semester of college to go before we could be together so thus began the longest time of my life..Believe me I counted the days..first until March when I came to spend a week then until June 1st when he flew in to see me graduate and help me move to Canada..You may wonder how we survived all those months apart.. Lots of chatting when we could..emails...regular cards and letters..(I sent a card every Monday until we were together) and 2 phone calls a week..But it all worked out..Never lose faith if you are in this situation..and DON'T listen to all the people who tell you that it can't work.. I believe the keys are honesty and faith and a WHOLE lot of common sense..Anyway I think that just about covers "our story"..*S*

I moved to Canada June 8, 1997 and started a brand new life there with my husband. It is quite a change for me but I am enjoying it. Of course I would enjoy it more if I could just figure out the metric system..*S*. I became a Canadian citizen in 2002 so now I am a dual US/Canadian citizen!

You may be wondering what I like to do in my spare time.. or if you aren't, brace yourself because I'm going to tell you anyway. I like to camp, hike, read everything I can, do crafts, watch sports, lots of stuff like that. I collect several things: Oriental dolls, hearts, cats, unicorns and winged horses, postage stamps, spoons, coins and baseball cards. I think that just about does it for me. Still awake?? My favorite sports are hockey, baseball and football (Almost anything except golf in fact)..My favorite college teams are Michigan and Wisconsin and my favorite pro teams are the Chicago Cubs (It's their year next year ya know!!) and the Green Bay Packers.

I've also been doing a lot of work on our family history's. I find Genealogy to be a fascinating thing to do...and it can get quite addictive! Be sure to check out our Family Tree pages, you might be a relative of ours!!
