The Mail Control system provides access to anti-spam filtering, white lists, black lists, an auto-responder, and forwarding rules.

The KELCOM Anti-Spam system uses a number of rules including a wide range of heuristic tests on mail headers AND the actual body of the message to identify "spam", also known as unsolicited commercial e-mail. You have a choice to either tag the e-mail meeting the criteria of spam or delete it, or a combination of both. We suggest you try just tagging first until you get a feel for how the system works and then become more militant and have it automatically delete at least some of the spam.

For additional control we have also included the ability to add both white and black list patterns to match either the 'from' address field of incoming e-mail messages or the 'subject' field to aid in filtering e-mail.

An auto-responder may be added to your e-mail account to inform those sending you e-mail that you are away on vacation or unable to respond to them.

Multiple e-mail routing rules can be incorporated into your e-mail handling via the forwarding configuration to send your e-mail to another address or even to both your IGS mailbox and another external address.
